ABOUT STOPHAM PLOTTERS' ASSOCIATION (SPA)
SPA is an independently managed allotment association based in Stopham, near Pulborough in West Sussex.
Formed in 2013, Stopham Plotters lease an area of land containing 54 allotment plots from the Pulborough branch of the Garden Centre Group. Each plot is approximately 90m2 and individuals may rent single or double plots to suit their individual needs.
SPA took over full management of the site in 2016. We have full rights of access via the Garden Centre car park and have use of the car park during opening hours.
Although we only formed SPA during 2013, several of our members have held allotments at this site for many years. We are a friendly bunch and newcomers are welcome anytime.
Our Philosophy
We believe that everyone should have access to land for growing thier own food produce if they chose to do so.
By providing different sized plots, SPA strives to be accessible to as a broad a range of individuals as possible.
Our History
Stopham Plotters' Association (SPA) was formed in 2013 to save our plots from the threat of closure.
Having successfully negotiated a contract with the land owners, SPA are now actively recruiting new plot holders.
